Cookie policy

This is a translation provided for convenience. The Dutch version of this document (cookiebeleid) is the legally binding version. In case of any discrepancy, the Dutch text prevails.
Short answer: this website places no cookies at all. No tracking, no marketing, and no functional ones either. Below is exactly what we checked.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website can place on your device, for example to remember a session or to keep the site secure. Some cookies are necessary for a site to work (functional); others are used to track your behaviour (tracking). For that second group, your consent is legally required.
Which cookies do we use?
None at all. We measured it: when the pages are requested, the server sends no cookie whatsoever, and the site itself places none either. So there is nothing of ours stored in your browser, and nothing to accept or refuse.

That is because we deliberately solved a few things differently:
- Fonts, icons and images load locally from our own server. No Google Fonts, no CDN, and therefore no third-party cookies or connections.
- Spam protection on the contact form works with a hidden field in the form itself (a "honeypot"), not with a cookie or a captcha. So sending the form doesn't store anything on your device either.
- No analytics tool is running. No Google Analytics, no alternative, nothing.
- There are no social-media buttons, videos or adverts on the site, and those are normally the biggest cookie-setters.
So is there a cookie banner?
No. A cookie banner is only legally required for cookies that aren't strictly necessary, and there are none. Showing a banner that asks consent for nothing would only get in the way.
And if that changes?
If we later want to measure statistics, we'll only place those cookies after you've given consent
via a cookie banner, with a refuse button that is just as clear as the accept button. Your choice
would then be remembered in your browser's local storage under the name kd-consent
(not a cookie, and it stays until you clear it yourself). We'll update this policy and the privacy policy at
that point.
Managing or deleting cookies
You can always manage or delete cookies yourself through your browser settings. Search your browser for "clear cookies" or "privacy settings". Note that disabling functional cookies can affect how websites work.
