Help & answers
Frequently asked questions
Short, honest answers to the questions I get most often — about price, lead time, ownership and findability. Not seeing your question? Feel free to call or email.
Working together & price
What does a website cost?
I work with fixed prices, no surprises afterwards. A single-page landing page starts at €500. A complete business site with several pages sits between €1.000 and €2.500, depending on the scope and your wishes. Hosting and maintenance are billed separately, from €30 per month. I never charge by the hour, always per result. In a no-obligation conversation I look at what you actually need and give you a clear price up front, so you know exactly where you stand before we start.
How long does it take to go live?
A landing page is usually live within one to two weeks. For a complete business site I count on three to five weeks on average, measured from the moment the texts and images are ready. The lead time depends mostly on how quickly we supply the content, not on the technology. I work with short lines and one point of contact, so you never wait on a team. Do you have a deadline, like an opening or a trade fair? Tell me up front and I plan around it.
Do you also work for freelancers and small businesses?
Absolutely, that is exactly my focus. Most of my clients are freelancers, sole traders and small SMEs who want a tidy, findable site without agency prices or complicated hassle. Because I work independently, without overhead or layers of middlemen, I keep the costs low and the lines short. Whether you are just starting out or have run your business for years and are ready for something more professional, I think along at your scale and deliver something that fits your business, not a template.
Which area do you cover?
I am based in Deventer and work a lot for entrepreneurs in Deventer and the surrounding region, think Zutphen, Apeldoorn, Zwolle and the rest of the Stedendriehoek. For local clients I am happy to drop by for a chat. On top of that I work fine remotely, right across the Netherlands. Most of it goes through email, phone and video calls anyway, so you do not need to be nearby to get proper help. Wherever you are, you get the same single point of contact.
Ownership & continuity
Do I own my site and domain?
Yes, completely. Your domain name, the website and all associated accounts are in your name. I handle the technology and the management, but ownership sits with you, not with me. There is no lock-in and there are no hidden keys that tie you down. If you want the files or the access, you simply get them. That way you can be sure you are never dependent on a single party and always stay in charge of your own place online.
What if I want to continue with someone else later?
That is always possible and without any fuss. Because everything is in your name, you can switch to another builder or manage the site yourself at any moment. I hand over neatly: domain, hosting, files and access all come with you, without me being difficult or throwing up costs to hold you back. I build with standard technology, no exotic system that nobody else can work with. I want to stay your supplier because it works well, not because you are stuck.
Maintenance & changes
Can I cancel the hosting?
Yes, the hosting and maintenance run per month and can be cancelled monthly. You are not tied to any multi-year contract. If you cancel, I make sure your site and domain stay neatly with you or move to another party. For €30 per month you get hosting within the EU, SSL, daily backups and small updates. Most clients stay simply because it is convenient that I take care of it, but the choice is and remains entirely yours.
Can I edit the texts and photos myself?
Small changes, like a new piece of text, a price, a photo or opening hours, you simply send to me and I usually process them within one working day. That is included in the maintenance, without a separate invoice for every little thing. If you would rather adjust things yourself day to day, I can build the site with a simple content system in which you manage texts and images. We agree up front which approach suits you, so you never get stuck on technology you did not want.
Technology & findability
Will my site be found well on Google?
The basis for good findability comes standard in every package: a clean structure, fast load times, correct titles and descriptions, and copy that matches what people search for. That gives you a strong starting position in Google, especially locally. I do not promise a number one spot, because nobody can guarantee that and it also depends on your market and competition. If you want to actively climb higher, we can agree separately on ongoing SEO. For most local entrepreneurs the standard basis is already more than enough.
Does the site work well on mobile?
Always. I build every site mobile-first, because most visitors now come via their phone. The pages scale neatly from small screens up to large monitors, with buttons and text that stay easy to read and use everywhere. Because I build lightly and without unnecessary technology, the site also loads quickly on a poor connection. That is not only pleasant for your visitor, but also counts towards your position in Google, which rates mobile-friendly sites more highly.

Just ask it. Tell me briefly what you are looking for and I will think along and tell you honestly what is feasible.
